From Behind the Scenes to On the Field: My Experience at the 2024 Kinder’s Texas Bowl

As my internship with the 2024 Kinder’s Texas Bowl comes to a close, I’m reflecting on the incredible experiences and growth I’ve had over the past few weeks. From the very first day, the energy and excitement were contagious. Stepping into the heart of the action, I was able to see firsthand how each department behind the scenes of the Houston Texans organization operates. The amount of hard work that goes into preparing for game days is immense, and I had the chance to witness that dedication firsthand. From behind the scenes, I observed professionals working tirelessly to ensure everything went smoothly, which gave me a greater appreciation for the level of detail required to pull off such a monumental event.

One of the most thrilling aspects of my internship was being on the sideline for the LSU vs. Baylor game. I got to feel the experience of being on the field, witnessing the intensity of the players and the excitement of the game from such a close vantage point. It was exhilarating to be so close to the action and to witness these talented athletes competing at such a high level. The energy of the crowd and the atmosphere on the sidelines made it an unforgettable experience.

However, there was one moment during my internship that truly stood out. My favorite experience by far was working at the "Beyoncé Bowl." The Houston Texans faced off against the Baltimore Ravens, and not only did I get to be part of such a major game, but I also had the unforgettable opportunity to see Beyoncé perform live. The excitement and star power of that event were unparalleled, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been there for such a historic moment.

Looking back, I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a prestigious event while learning from professionals who share the same passion for sports and entertainment. My time at the Kinder’s Texas Bowl has solidified my desire to continue pursuing a career in sports media and events, and I’m excited to carry these experiences with me as I move forward in my journey.
